marquettes

Marquettes are usually used as small models for large scale works, however these strange little vessels I used for experimental glaze testing. This glaze is often called “lava glaze” as it heats up in the kiln the chemicals start to bubble or foam. As the kiln cools down the glaze completely hardens and leaves a texture similar to a pumice stone.

Dimensions variety of sizes - highest 9.5cm
